Stefanie Marlis is the author of three previous collections of poetry, Slow Joy, rife, and fine—which was also published by Apogee Press, and nominated for a Bay Area Book Reviewers Award. The recipient of numerous awards, including an NEA fellowship, the Joseph Henry Jackson Award, and the Brittingham Prize, Stefanie works as a freelance copywriter. She lives in Patagonia, Arizona.
