Elizabeth Robinson was educated at Bard College, Brown University, and Pacific School of Religion. Her previous books include In the Sequence of Falling Things, Bed of Lists, House Made of Silver, and Harrow. In 2002 Robinson won the National Poetry Series for Pure Descent, published by Sun & Moon Press, Apprehend was the winner of the Fence Modern Poets Series in 2003. She has been a MacDowell Colony Fellow and her work was included in The Best American Poetry of 2002. In 2006 she was the winner of the PIP Gertrude Stein Award for Innovative Poetry in English. Her other books include Invisible Trumpeters and The Orphan and its Relations. She co-edits EtherDome Press and Instance Press, and lives in Boulder, Colorado, with her family.
